💡 In Douano, you can work with two types of relationships:
A relationship that is already a customer and for which a company already exists in Douano.
A relationship that is not yet a customer and has not yet been created in Douano.

Click the green plus icon to add a new relationship.
Open an existing relationship to edit it.
General data
Commercial name: the name under which a relationship is known. This is often the brand name of a hospitality business or the name under which a company advertises to the public.
Linked company: the company to which you want to link this relationship.
Linked address: the address of the selected company to which you can link this relationship.
Address
💡 If the relationship is linked to a company, the company’s address details will be used.
💡 If a relationship is not linked to a company, you can enter the address details manually. In this case, the address details do not yet need to be complete if they are not known.
Address line 1: typically contains the street name and house number. Since this is a free text field, you can format it according to the conventions of a specific country.
Address line 2: this field can be used, for example, to mention a floor in an office building or any other information that should appear in the address.
Postal code: this field can contain both numbers and letters. For addresses in the Netherlands, you must also include the 2 letters that are typically part of the postal code.
City: enter the city or town name here.
Province/state: this field is optional and is mainly used for companies in, for example, the United States, where the state is always part of the address.
Country: the country where the relationship is located.

Commercial data
Account manager: select the representative responsible for this relationship.
💡 You can only select a representative from the active users in Douano. To add a new user, follow this 👉 guide.
Acces for groups: select the user groups that should have access to this relationship.

Priority: the priority you want to assign to this relationship.
💡 This can be used to categorize relationships. Typical examples are: high, normal, low, ...

Status: the status you want to assign to this relationship.

Action Intervals
💡 With action intervals, you can optionally set when a certain action should be rescheduled for a relationship. This acts as a safety net to avoid forgetting to visit, call, … specific relationships. These actions can be found under Relation management - To Be Scheduled.

Action type: the type of action that should be scheduled again after x number of days.
Action interval: the number of days for the selected action type is copied by default but can still be overwritten here.
Communication Details
Language: all PDF documents generated by Douano for a relationship will be created in the selected language.
Phone number: enter the general phone number of this relationship here.
Email addresses: enter the general email address of this relationship here. You can also add multiple addresses by separating them with a comma (,).
Notes
Note: in this field, you can store general information about the relationship that is not specifically linked to an action.
💡 You can also display a template in the notes field that you set up yourself. This way, you can ensure that the same basic information is always filled in for each relationship in Douano.

Opening Hours
In this section, you can indicate for each day of the week when the relationship is open.
💡 To set opening hours, you can use the input tool or manually enter the times using your keyboard.
Break: check this box to add a second time slot, for example to record a lunch break.
Contacts
💡 A relationship can have one or more contacts assigned to it. You can also create contacts without linking them to a relationship.
First name: the first name of this contact.
Last name: the last name of this contact.
Mobile number: the mobile phone number of this contact.
Email address: the email address of this contact.
Network
💡 In this section, you can map the network of your relationships by indicating to which other relationships this one delivers or by whom it is supplied.
Delivers to: select one or more relationships this one delivers to.
Supplied by: select the relationship that supplies this one.
Traded Products
💡 In this section, you can track all traded products for this relationship. This is especially useful for relationships that are not direct customers, such as a hospitality business supplied by a beverage wholesaler.
Product: the product traded by this relationship.
Start date: the optional date from when this relationship started trading this product.
End date: the optional date until when this relationship traded this product.
Social Media
Website: the website of this relationship.
