💡 Companies, particularly customers, can be grouped into categories. This categorization can be used in the reporting module to, for example, determine which revenue was generated from a specific customer category. Typical examples include: Hotel, Restaurant, Café, or a specific purchasing group…

⇢ Go to Settings – Companies – Company Categories and click the green plus icon.

General data

  • Name: the name of the company category.

  • Visible in dropdown lists: checked by default to allow selection of this company category when editing or creating a company.

  • Default: you can mark one company category as the default. This category will be automatically selected when creating a new company. You can still override this default during company creation.

  • Description: an optional field for adding further clarification.

  • Group: the name of the group under which you want to classify this company category. For example, you could group both 'Café' and 'Restaurant' under the group 'Hospitality'.
