Customs - AC4/Excise declaration

Updated over 3 months ago

💡 Excise duties are due on excise goods leaving the Warehouse/AGP. These products are included in the AC4 declaration (BE) / Excise declaration (NL).

☝️ Belgian customers working with the new AC4 declaration can download the new AC4 declaration in Douano. To do so, go to Settings - Excise - Communication and select 'AC4 2025' in the AC4 declaration format field.

⇢ Go to Customs - AC4/Excise Declaration and click the green plus button.

Creating an AC4/Excise Declaration

  • Period ending on: select the date up to which transactions should be included in the declaration.

💡 All undeclared excise transactions that took place on or before this date will be included in the declaration.

  • Stock location: select the stock location for the excise transactions to be declared.

💡 A separate declaration must be created for each own stock location under excise suspension.

  • Type of excise declaration (NL): select whether you want to create a declaration for 'Payable' or 'Recoverable' excise duties.

💡 For Dutch customers, the excise declaration is split into duties to be declared and duties to be recovered:

  • For payable excise duties, follow your periodic declaration.

  • Recoverable excise duties are processed quarterly.
