Sales - Prices per price class

Updated over 4 months ago

💡 For each price class you have set up and linked to customer(s), you can create a price list. Whenever you create a new sales order for a customer, the prices will automatically be applied to the selected products. These prices can still be manually adjusted in a sales order by clicking on the lock icon.

⇢ Go to Sales – Prices and select By price class.

  • Click the green plus icon to create a new price list for a price class.

  • Click on the row of a price list to edit prices or add a product.

  • Click the green duplicate icon on a price list row to duplicate it.

Create a new price list for a price class

General data

  • Name: typically, the name of a price list includes the price class and the period it is valid for. You can also add a product category if you split your price lists by category.

  • Start date: the date when the price list becomes active. The order date in a sales order determines which price list is used. This can be a future date, meaning you can already set upcoming prices in advance.

  • End date: the date when the price list is no longer active.

💡 Once the end date has passed, the price list will automatically be set to inactive and prices will no longer be applied in sales orders.

💡 You can reactivate a price list by entering a new future end date or duplicate it to create a new active list. Duplicating has the advantage of keeping an archive of sales prices, allowing you to track price increases.

  • Price class: the price class to which the prices below apply. Typically, a separate list is created per price class.

Sales Prices

  • Product: select the product you want to add. The product must be active and marked as “Can be sold” to appear in this list.

  • Price excl. excise, VAT: the unit price, excluding VAT and excise. When you adjust this price, the Price excl. VAT is updated automatically.

💡 This is the leading price: if excise rates change, this price will remain unchanged.

  • Excise: the applicable excise amount, automatically calculated by Douano based on the product definition.

  • Price excl. VAT (incl. excise): the unit price excluding VAT but including excise.

💡 If you adjust this price, the Price excl. excise, VAT is updated automatically. This is an indicative price: if excise rates change, this price will also change.

💡 If goods are received under suspension, no excise will be charged.

Duplicate a price list per price class

💡 Once you have a price list for a price class, you can duplicate it to quickly create a list for another price class.

⇢ To duplicate a price list, click the green duplicate icon on its row.

General data

  • Name: update the name, e.g., by adding a year or a reference to another price class.

  • Start date: when this list becomes active.

  • End date: when this list expires.

  • Price class: select another price class if needed.

Optional price adjustment

💡 When duplicating, Douano can automatically increase or decrease all product prices in the list.

💡 Skip this if prices remain unchanged or if you want to adjust them manually afterwards.

  • Adjustment type: choose whether to increase or decrease prices.

  • Adjustment mode: choose percentage or absolute adjustment.

  • Adjustment value: enter the adjustment in “%” or “€”, depending on the mode.

Filter (optional)

  • You can filter products to copy only those with a specific status.

💡 For example, you may choose to copy only active products.
