π‘ A production order goes through the various production steps as defined in the production process. Each step must be manually confirmed. You confirm a step by clicking the green arrow on the line of the production order.
Once a production order is set to 'In production', the required stock for this order will be reserved in Douano.
A production order remains 'In production' until all process steps have been completed.
π‘ Once you confirm a step as 'In production', a popup will appear showing some data that you can still complete/modify before confirming.
General data
Start Date and Time: the date and time this step started. These cannot be modified.
End Date and Time: the date and time this step ended. These are automatically calculated based on the times set in the process. You can override them here if needed.

Processed Quantity: the quantity of semi-finished or finished product obtained after this step.
Produced residual products
π‘ In this block, you can optionally enter all by-products produced during this step.
π‘ If you added by-products to the recipe, they will automatically be filled in here.
Raw material: the by-product produced in this step.
Expected quantity: the expected quantity of by-product to be produced, automatically taken from the recipe.
Produced quantity: the actual produced quantity of by-product.
Best before date: select the expiry date.
Batch number: enter the batch number for this product.
Consumption of Reserved Ingredients
π‘ In this block, you will see all ingredients used in this step.
Raw material: the ingredient added in this step.
Required quantity (per recipe): the reserved quantity is calculated pro-rata by Douano based on the recipe and the quantity to be produced in this order. This cannot be changed.
Stock Item: the stock item used for this production.
π‘ If you want to use a different stock item than the one suggested by Douano, you can adjust it in the picklist(s). More info in this π guide.
Picked Quantity: the actual picked quantity of this ingredient, expressed in its unit of measure. This cannot be changed.
Consumed Quantity: the actual consumed quantity. If 'automatically consume all ingredients' is checked in the recipe, the picked quantity will automatically be filled in.
π‘ If less than the reserved quantity was consumed, simply enter the smaller number in this column.
π‘ If more than the reserved quantity was consumed, the extra amount must be added via the Additional Products block.
π‘ If 'automatically consume all ingredients' is not checked in the recipe, you can copy the reserved amount into the consumed amount column using the arrow button, or you can fill in the amounts manually.
Consumption of additional ingredients
π‘ These may be ingredients that are part of the recipe but were used in larger quantities than planned, or entirely new products that were not in the recipe.
Product: the additional ingredient added in this step.
Stock item: the specific stock item of the chosen product that was consumed.
Quantity: the actual consumed quantity of this additional ingredient, expressed in its unit of measure.
Equipment used
π‘ In this block, you can optionally record one or more pieces of equipment used in this step.
Equipment type: the type of equipment used in this step.
Equipment: the specific piece of equipment of the chosen type that was used.
