Settings - Cost types

Updated over 4 months ago

💡 Cost types, such as cleaning costs and energy costs, can be created and then used in a production process or when creating a product cost. These costs will be included in the calculation of the product cost via Cost Management.

⇢ Go to Settings - General - Cost Types and click on the green plus sign.

  • Name: the name of the cost type.

  • Visible in dropdown lists: checked by default to make this cost type selectable.

  • Default: you can designate one cost type as the default. The default cost type will automatically be selected when creating new production processes.

  • Description: an optional field to provide additional details.

  • Cost unit: the unit in which you want to express this cost: per hour, per liter, per piece, or fixed cost.

  • Group: you can optionally assign a cost type to a group. When selecting costs in a production process or when creating a product cost, you can search by this group to quickly and easily find all cost types belonging to that group.
